Won Affirmance On Behalf Of The Child Of Order Terminating The Father’s Parental Rights.

Matter of Thailique Nashean S. (Sean L.), 105 AD3d 428 (1st Dept. 2013)

In this appeal by the father of an order terminating his parental rights in a matter where I represented the child on appeal, the First Department accepted my argument that the record contains clear and convincing evidence that respondent failed to satisfy the requirements of Domestic Relations Law § 111 (d) (1) that he maintain substantial and continuous or repeated contact with the child and that the record also demonstrates by clear and convincing evidence that respondent abandoned the child because during the six-month period preceding the filing of the petition, he did not contact the agency or visit his son
